According to the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "Survey Report on Japanese Language Education (2023)," there are 2,727 institutions, 46,257 teachers, and 263,170 learners studying NIHONGO in Japan. In addition, according to the Japan Foundation's "Survey on the Current State of Japanese Language Education (2021)" there are 18,272 institutions, 74,592 teachers, and 3,794,714 learners in 141 countries overseas.

The top 10 countries in terms of number of learners are China, Nepal, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
About 80% of Japanese learners are from Asia.
This is because the number of foreigners working in Japan has increased due to the technical intern training system and the specified skilled system.
In addition, due to the revision of the Immigration Control Law in 2018, it is planned that 340,000 foreigners will work in the next five years.

However, most of the current Japanese language education is teacher-led based on the grammar syllabus, which requires a lot of time and money.

Foreigners who want to work in Japan do not have the time and money.
As a result, learning NIHONGO becomes a big barrier and it is difficult to get an opportunity to work in Japan.

MONJU Japanese Academy would like to support foreigners who are willing to work in Japan.

MONJU Japanese Academy will continue to pursue "NIHONGO learning that he can use quickly and easily" with the philosophy of "Anyone Anytime Anywhere NIHONGO learning".

◇ Philosophy
